1A Optimizing Syrup Quality and Flavor - Aaron Wightman
This session will focus on best practices to avoid off-flavors and strategies to boost the flavor of your syrup. We will also discuss the potential of strong-flavored syrups in value-added products.
1B Re-tapping and Timing of Tapping - Adam Wild
This session will cover latest research on re-tapping your maple trees during the season to maximize production and how timing of tapping influences yields.
2A Tubing Updates - Aaron Wightman
This session will discuss the latest research for maximizing taphole productivity and potential options for addressing production loss in old 3/16” lateral lines.
2B Beginner Tubing Installation - Adam Wild
Looking to upgrade from buckets to tubing or add vacuum? This session will cover basic tubing design and installation for both gravity and vacuum systems.
3 Boiling 101 - Bruce Gillilan
You may attend a total of three workshops for the day. You can pick your three classes on Saturday morning.
