Maple Tubing Workshop

Come join Cornell Cooperative Extension to hear State Maple Specialist Steve Childs and Northern New York Maple Specialist Adam Wild walk you through Maple Tubing. The latest technology, newest research and the best way to install it in YOUR woods! A workshop you will NOT want to miss!

Speakers: Steve Childs– State Maple SpecialistNew York State Maple Specialist providing educational instruction and resources to maple producers in New York State. Focus areas include sustainable forest sugar bush management, sap collection and processing technology, product quality improvement and grading, and value added product development.

Adam Wild– Northern New York Maple Specialist Adam D. Wild is the new director of the Uihlein Maple Research Forest at Lake Placid, NY. In 2019, Wild will serve as Cornell University’s NNY Maple Specialist and will be the project leader of a 2019 NNYADP project continuing the timing of tapping study to quantify the benefits of re-tapping maple trees within a season.
