April 7-13, 2019
Sunday, April 7th, marks the beginning of National Volunteer Week. Volunteers are directly responsible for teaching life skills that youth learn through the 4-H program. Volunteers are essential to the delivery of the 4-H program.
National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to celebrate the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to tackle society’s greatest challenges, to build stronger communities and be a force that transforms the world. Each year, we shine a light on the people and causes that inspire us to serve, recognizing and thanking volunteers who lend their time, talent and voice to make a difference in their communities.
Our volunteers come to us with a variety of expertise. Some volunteer a little, some volunteer a lot, but every single one of them makes a difference. And they all have one thing in common: to ignite that spark in the next generation by sharing their passion, knowledge and skills. 4-H is delivered in many different ways and 4-H volunteers help make all of them possible.
If you are not already a volunteer, think about sharing your talents with us! You can fuel the extraordinary efforts of our youth by joining us as a volunteer. To find out more, contact us at 315-376-5270.
