2024 Grant & Grow Info Session

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County invites farms, food-based businesses and agricultural businesses to join them on Friday February 23rd as we hear from a variety of presenters on NYS grant and low-interest loan programs for farms & food-based businesses for who have been in operation for more than three years.

Presenters at this session will include:

  1. USDA: Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service & Soil & Water Conservation District
  2. USDA Rural Development (Value-Added Producer, Meat Processor Expansion, etc...)
  3. USDA Ag Marketing Service (Farmers Market Promotion Program, Local Foods Promotion Program, etc...)
  4. NBT Bank
  5. Farm Credit East
  6. NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets
  7. NY Farm Viability Institute (Beginning Farmer & NY Grown & Certified)

This is a great opportunity to learn about the options for accessing financing, conservation programs, and other resources to grow your farm and/or food-based business!

The cost to attend is $30/farm and pre-registration is required. Virtual registration is available, and cost is $30. Coffee and pastries will be available in the morning and a lunch will be provided. All questions can be directed to Laura Biasillo at lw257@cornell.edu.
