On-Farm Pregnancy Testing Workshop

DO YOU WANT TO LEARN HANDS-ON HOW TO PERFORM A BLOOD TEST TO PREGNANCY CHECK YOUR COWS?

Come to the NYBPA Region 7 workshop on Thursday, November 7, 2024 5:30pm-8:00pm.

This program is for ADULTS ONLY.

Please register by November 1st so we can provide enough food. You may pay online, send a check, or stop in and pay at our office prior to the workshop.

Lynn and Mark Murray of Murcrest Farms are graciously hosting this event near Copenhagen, NY. They will open one of their farms which houses their pregnant cows. You will meet with Mark Murray, Murcrest Farms; Ryan Hodges, IDEXX Rep; Dr. Rhoades, IDEXX Vet; Dr. Peter Ostrum, Dairy Health and Management Services LLC; and Phil Trowbridge, Trowbridge Angus Farm.

This workshop offers a unique opportunity to save money on your farm, learn from industry experts at IDEXX, and network with other local beef producers. The event is exclusive to beef producers, and Murcrest Farms will be providing beef and dairy animals for hands-on practice in the headlocks.

After the workshop, we will enjoy a complimentary dinner sponsored by IDEXX and conduct a demonstration of the IDEXX Alerys On Farm Pregnancy Test. Each participant will have the chance to perform the test themselves.

Please dress for the cold weather and a freestall. Wear rubber boots for biosecurity and coveralls if you have them. To ensure we stay on schedule, please arrive promptly.
