Pest Management Strategies

  • Tuesday, September 23, 2025, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Join us for a free, virtual webinar to learn about cutting-edge research and effective strategies to protect your herds and pastures.

Are you a dairy or livestock farmer looking for the most current information on pest management? CCE Jefferson, CCE Lewis, and NYBPA Region 7 are teaming up to bring you an exclusive webinar focused on the latest research impacting our region's agricultural community.

What We'll Cover:

This online session will dive into two critical areas of pest control, led by experts who are on the front lines of research:

  • Feed-Through Insecticides & Dung Beetles: We'll share the results from a two-year study examining how feed-through insecticides affect adult dung-inhabiting beetles in beef cattle pastures. Learn how to manage pests without harming these beneficial insects that are vital for pasture health.
  • Tick Survey Findings: Get a first look at the preliminary findings from a recent tick survey conducted in cattle pasture habitats. This information is crucial for understanding and mitigating the risks that ticks pose to your livestock.
  • Watch Party: Don't want to watch alone? An in-person watch party will be offered! Please see the registration page for more details.
